A Funny Thing Happened After I Hit Publish
The Breadcrumb Trail
You know the thing about the unexplainable?
It can’t be explained.
And yet—here we are. We're all in this together now.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any weirder, the universe said:
“Here, hold my beer.”
In Part 1 of Will the Real Brett Goldstein Please Stand Up?, I wrote this:
"Then, the dream cam pans over to what appears to be a man standing in the corner of my hotel room. This would easily freak out anyone in the real world—but not here. I turned to see who it was, but his back was to me. Which, yes, gave it a certain Blair Witch kind of vibe."
That Blair Witch line? I almost deleted it.
But then I thought—what’s one more weird breadcrumb? So I kept it in.
Fast-forward three days after I hit publish on Part 2 of that blog…
I’m at work. I get an Instagram message—not from Brett this time, from a family member. I open the app, and before I even get to the message, a reel auto-plays on my screen.
From Brett’s account.
It’s funny, so I keep watching.
Then it happens.
Jaw. Drop.
And not just mine—every friend I’ve shown it to? Same reaction.
Here’s the kicker:
What I wrote was published a month before this reel ever went up.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Watch it. And try not to imagine Rod Serling lurking in the corner with a cigarette.
If you’re not weirded out yet… Give it a minute.
