Last year, I realized I was fully enjoying and immersing myself in the writing experience.
I was loving it so much that I was itching to explore other ways to express my thoughts, ideas, feelings, and emotions. I wanted to really, really embrace my inner storyteller. Then I wanted that version of me to collide with the once timid, soft-spoken 16-year-old version of myself.
The version who felt a fire burning inside her belly when she joined the debate team and won her first Lincoln-Douglas debate match. The girl who realized that when she spoke about the things she was passionate about, not only did people lean in to hear what she had to say, but it simultaneously ignited something inside of her.
I wanted to fuse those two versions of me. Like a science experiment in a lab. I wanted to see what she would look like.
In May of 2025, I said, “F**k it.”
I released the first episode of my podcast, Think Piece.
It’s hard to believe that an entire year has already passed.
Honestly, I didn’t think I’d last this long.
But with every new conversation, every new opportunity I was given to learn more about my incredible guests…
Who they were.
Who they are.
Where they come from.
Their stories.
Their wins.
Their losses.
Their dreams.
I began to understand that I had somehow figured out my purpose.
I love stories.
I always have.
And what I discovered through Think Piece is that I genuinely love people. I love learning about them. I love hearing where they’ve been, what they’ve overcome, what inspires them, and what keeps them moving forward.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like I was hosting a podcast and started feeling like I was doing exactly what I was meant to be doing.
I want to thank every single one of you for listening, supporting, and being part of this journey.
